
South Georgia Red Seeded Watermelon.. It makes a mess of everything when cut, but oh so good. This was grown in a home garden by a "retired" farmer in his eighties.. He was selling them for 3 dollars each.. What a steal, for only three dollars, you could meet the hand who cared for the fruit and know it was fresh picked just hours before.
And I have run across a free magazine subscription for US only (sorry guys). I requested it a month ago and got the first issue. Thin magazine, but had fun info and good recipes.
