1 cup softened butter (can use half crisco and half butter)
3 cups granulated sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk, sour cream or
heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla, almond or lemon
extract

Combine butter and sugar until fluffy, then add one egg at a time. Continue to beat until light and fluffy.
Alternate one cup flour with 1/3 cup buttermilk until all ingredients are incorporated. Mix until smooth.
Add extract and beat for one more minute

Pour into greased bundt or tube pan.
Bake at 325degrees for 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Recipe courtesy of Gumpaste Joel.
This didn't last long in the house and I kept finding that the crust on the top of the cake would be missing in places. "Not Me!" seemed to really like the cake. This is not a low fat cake either!! Just how I like it!

Mrs. Claus Cook Book

Whatever would we do without Mrs. Claus.. I love sweets during the holiday season , but all year round also.. That is why I love the internet.. Easy access to recipes, that you wouldn't have otherwise. Just like garden help and botanical reads without end, I can't get enough of recipes. Mr. and Mrs. Claus have their very own website, with recipes included.. YUM
