Garden Helpers GALORE!!

Three of the five we have , just LOVE to follow me around where ever I roam. They especially love it when I am outside and in the yard or garden. The big fat smoke gray one is Penelope, the Orange Tabby is Yellowstone and the Calico is Tiger Lily!

Of course they also love it when our neighbor Miss Terri is out, Tiger Lily in particular follows her around and or pays a visit. Just ask the birds who nested in her hanging pots, they would chirp your ears off when TL would cross the street.

Garden Well Planned? Not at this House..

I was showing my co worker the front of my house, and he made a hilarious comment.. He tells me it "looks like some one threw up flowers all over my house".. You can look at it that way.. He is a very organized person, this isn't his style.. But, it is mine.. I don't plan my garden, I just put things where I think and feel they should go.. And guess what??? It works out, and works out well.. My garden is a hodge podge of this and that, with some yard decoration such as stepping stones and wind spinners. All carefully, well not so much, picked out and placed by my helpers.. Helpers include birds that drop seeds from my neighbors yard , as they are being chased off the property by the garden cats. Not just human helpers have created this garden. So my question to all of you is, what type of garden do you have??

This picture below, is just a small view of the front of the house.. Mainly the front porch.. Soon I will be painting the front wooden door a black gloss and put a brass kickplate on the bottom.. One of the many projects in my mind..

Garden Patrol

She quietly makes her round around the perimeter of the yard everyday, several times a day. She has kept the chipmunks out, the other neighborhood cats and the geese the frequent the lake nearby. She has been know to chase a kid or two out as well.

Penelope is an eight year old domestic short hair.. In other words a mutt.. Although she could almost pass as a Russian Blue because of her coloring.. Her face gives it away that she is just a regular cat..

She follows me where ever I go in the yard. If I stay in one place then she will stay, providing there is shade to rest in.. She is a good garden friend and the matriarch of the cat household at our home..
