Wishbone Volunteers (Torenia)

We get some rain and some sun and happiness pops up in one of my '"tester pots". Wishbone volunteers.

This would be one of the plants I overwintered and SUSPECT may be the mother of the volunteers...

So I can't wait now to see what color these seedlings are.. What a great way to start the day..

Very pretty flower. Is wishbone volunteer the name? :-) I have not heard of it before.

the name is torenia, but it's common name is wishbone or monkey flower.. Volunteer is a seedling that just comes up without any planting or care.. It might be a US term?? it is one of my favorite annuals

You are correct, what a great way to start the day, to see what is new in the garden!

Volunteer is a great term :-) We just say seedling or self seeded!
