Halloween is the perfect day to tell you about our bat house we put up a few weeks ago.. We decided we need the mammal in our yard, to help the habitat and control those darn mosquitos.
The bat house is South facing, gets at least 6 hours of direct sun a day, and made of cedar.. It has grooved out ridges inside to help the bats hang upside down.. They say it can take up to 10 months for a bunch to move in.. Here is hoping it is sooner than that.

I really want to get a bat house too! I'll be anxious to read future posts on how long it takes for bats to move into yours. Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage
