Dragonflies Arrive

This particular dragonfly would fly around and land on this same dried open Daylily seed pod.. I found it odd, but wasn't going to complain, because I didn't have to run around the yard following him for pictures.

Dragonflies have appeared in the garden.. I think they were hiding during our heat wave and have come out to play now that it has cooled down a good ten degrees.

wonderful photo of the dragonfly. They are so skittish, I have yet to take a picture of one. Great photos of the swallowtail too.

I love dragonflies! I've never even attempted to photograph them, with my little camera though. Oh how lucky you are. And thank you so much for sharing these with us!

Beautiful dragonfly photos, I'm glad he was so cooperative. I wish I had more of them in my garden.

Great pictures. I have not tried to capture one with the camera. I think your dragon flies are bigger than the ones around here. I hear you should have a water feature to attrack them. Do you? We do but I have never seen them at it. Not sure if what I heard is true.

Thanks for sharing!
