Our super garden cat Tiger Lily (she rids us of the moles, chipmunks etc.) was stuck up in a tree between 30-45 feet. Big Daddy, the kids and our neighbor Mr. Favors tried to get her.. She had been up 24 hours, crying like crazy. Who got her down??? Spidermom, scaling up the ladder then the tree. Mom to the rescue like usual!

I wonder if your kitty was chasing an obnoxious mockingbird. Our younger cat (the older one doesn't chase anything anymore) has been known to aggravate the noisy critters simply by walking past a certain tree and then be dive-bombed by them. Maybe your cat had endured a similar treatment and decided to take action.
The neighbors have big Chows I think they scared her straight up the tree. I have never seen a mockingbird before. what do they look like?

I would have done something totally cliche like called the fire dept or something! :0)
