To My Delight!

I came home from the farmer's market and found that the mulch fairy had visited me.. I pulled into the driveway and in delight squeeled to see my huge mountain of mulch staring back at me..

You may wonder where this mulch fairy comes from, he brings by trees that have been cut down and mulched for free. The batch delivered has hickory and oak in it and smells good, as it was cut today.

I figure the mulch fairy knew I could put it to good use instead of it just rotting somewhere. I think I may have enough to have it 3 inches deep for the front yard. You can see how huge the mound is by my four year old son standing on top.. Tomorrow will surely be a busy day..

I wish the mulch fairy would drop by my way; I don't need a lot for my garden...

Great fairy to have around. I need her magic wand on an area I'm about to re-develop as it's too overgrown woth wild campion...guess I'll need to settle for going out and buying bark to stopp the rampage.

That sure is a huge pile of mulch. I could use a mulch fairy visit myself but I don't need quite such a big pile.

I have a half an acre I work with, but am geting ready to start a big project in the back yard, which is almost entirely shade, hence the mountain of mulch..
Ruth- Boy was it a busy day for sure and I did enjoy it..

Wildlife- my campion didn't so hot this year

Curtis- I could send you my extra, but that may be too much money.

Christa_ It really smells great. My hand still have the scent from the tree tar.

Excuse me, did you say they give you the mulch! For free! To your door! I may send a link to our local council offices :-) What a brilliant idea!

Chris, Yes totally for free!!! As much as I want.. Locally owned tree services as well as government services will deliver (hence the mulch fairy) when they have a load near you.. Lucky for me 2 faries live less than a mile from me.. My neighbor across the street got 2 dumpload trucks full. She just came over and asked them for some when they were dumping mine.. Keeps those poor trees from a certain waste..
